20 Prompts for Setting Goals and Refining Your Intentions

In many sessions having a well defined intention or goal is recommended.

Heck, in LIFE sometimes having a checklist of goals helps a lot!

Here I’ll share a few questions- and even give example of answers– with the hopes it helps myself, my clients, and other practitioners reflect on and refine our GOALS.

I’ve already shared Questioning Your Subconscious Mind, which helps to prepare for Quantum Healing sessions. I find that weaves nicely with goal setting.

While goals can be quite different than expectations, questions, or even results, when we:

✅Set goals
✅Examine our intentions
✅Define the areas we’d like to explore &
✅Stay absolutely open to the results??

WOWZERS. I promise you’ll be impressed when you do this routinely. Click here for easy copy/paste document: Goal Setting Checklist: 20+ Prompts

✅I’m stressed out about snow removal

2.

What is your goal for this session? Define your goal as something you CAN measure.

✅I’d like snow removed before I go to work.  I’d like to worry half as much, or less about this. I dn’t want to be stuck.  I want to be able to make a decision.  So my goal is to take action around this issue, so I can think about it far far less. I need to do this before winter.

3.

Is the goal achievable? Do you believe it’s possible?

3.

Is the goal achievable? Do you believe it’s possible?

✅Yes.  I can wake up early and do it myself, I could call a service, or I could hire an individual. I’ve just been stuck and not doing anything but stressing.

4.

Is it desirable? Would it benefit your ecology?  If you achieve this goal, will it harm you in any way?

6.

Are the desired results repeatable and or sustainable?

6.

Are the desired results repeatable and or sustainable?

✅It’s more sustainable for me to hire a service, since I like to sleep in, and it snows frequently.  I’m not sure I’d be able to wake up and shovel snow without gaining stress. But yes, it’s sustainable because I can pay a service far less than I lose in wages from stress/not being able to drive in the snow.

7.

How will you know if this goal has been achieved, specifically how will you measure success?

If you can’t define your goal in terms of of measurable success, change your goal into something you CAN measure.

✅I’ve used self hypnosis, and it relaxes me in the moment but doesn’t help in the moment of panic. I’ve also tried shoveling myself, and it’s overwhelming.  I know I should be able to, but for some reason I don’t/can’t. Talk therapy hasn’t helped for this.

20.

What do they encourage you to do that you wouldn’t do otherwise?

Is there anything that you do NOT want to happen, to examine or feel? It’s okay to set boundaries, so let communicate anything that makes you uncomfortable. I can’t control what others do or feel- but you can be easily guided toward or away from intense feelings.

✅ I don’t really like EFT tapping or breathwork, but I’m open to past lives and spirit guides if they want to help.
