Working with Kids: A Parallel Life, An Elementary Lesson

I had the honor of working with a child recently.
My friend’s daughter was struggling with school.
She was stressed.
Grade school was anything but “elementary”.

I remember how hard school can be, do you?. It’s full of other humans, afterall! We all need help relating to humans, sometimes.

Quantum Healing had helped my friend, so we wondered — could it also offer a helpful perspective for her daughter? (I write about that session here: Her Children, Her Lives: A Reminder to CHERISH TODAY

She agreed enthusiastically. It would be fun to do a Quantum Healing session. So we set an intention for both entertainment and education, and sat down to explore.

What did her soul want her to see?

Warming Up With Conversation and Imagination

We spent nearly an hour just chatting — about school, classmates, and her lessons. I’ve known her since before she was born, so it felt natural to blend spiritual, practical, and emotional conversation. Even kids need to talk about weird stuff, turns out!

Next, we played imagination games: exploring “magical” objects in her closet, infusing water with pink healing light, and sending that color to a fresh cut on her finger. She told me about past bumps, bruises, and scars — each injury recalled in detail, each one a story.

This part was whimsical, playful, and very much what I might expect when working with someone in elementary school. She wasn’t deep in trance; she was using her active mind to play.

Stepping Into Another Life

That’s why I was a bit surprised and totally impressed when she slipped effortlessly into a concrete other life. It wasn’t an ancient past life or a far-off future — it felt contemporary to modern times. She described what I might a parallel life; a lifetime running concurrent to this one.

She described the life of an elementary school teacher (gasp!) in her mid-20s, living alone in a city apartment with a newly adopted puppy. Appropriate, right?

And intense…

Her voice shifts as she describes her other life in detail:

She loves her students, though each has their own challenges. Some have trouble at home. Some have attention-seeking behaviors. Some lose focus easily. She speaks with patience and compassion about each of her kids, determined to meet each child’s needs. Most of these needs aren’t exactly “curriculum” based. She is keenly aware of what is happening in each young person’s life she teaches..

A Lesson in Calm Problem-Solving

When I ask her to visit a meaningful day, she describes arriving home from school in the rain. Her apartment door opens to find yet another puddle.,,

The dog had peed on the floor.

Instead of frustration or blame, her response is matter-of-fact: “I’ll have to change something. Maybe get him a pen. And I’ll arrange for him to go out.” she reasons.

Her emotional regulation and problem-solving skills immediately kick in – a stark contrast to how she might react in her current life as a child. No tantrums this time. No anger. This other personality is mature and responsible. The difference impressed even me.

Compassion Across Realities

Next, she shares concern for a student whose home life is difficult. He cares for his younger sister after his parents’ divorce, and it is starting to effect his schoolwork. “I’ll spend some extra time with him,” she says. “But there’s only so much I can do,” realizing her limits.

It is not hard to notice the parallels of this boy’s life to her own life — moving between two homes, one more stable and comfortable than the other. She already understands the difference a chaotic environment can make, and how much personal commitment it takes to swim against those strong currents. It’s almost like her subconscious mind is giving her a “pep talk”. Her teachers can help her, but it’s up to HER to show up for herself- even when her home life is challenging.

Reflections

This session was fun, but it turned out to be more than mere entertainment. She was introduced her to a wiser, more mature version of herself. Instead of being reactive, she’s embodied someone who navigates challenges with steady compassion. And it reminds me of something Quantum Healing reveals often: ANYONE- even children- can access perspectives stretching far beyond their experience when given a safe space to explore and a professional to guide them.

She was given keywordswords she can remember when she needs help remembering her power and happiness.

And guess what? She also met her “Big Self” her Higher Self who guides her from a deeper source of wisdom. Her Bigger Self reminds her how to breath through her challenges.

Sound helpful? It was! Her mom reports she has been calmer since the session and her report card reflects a similar trend.

If a child can access this level of clarity, confidence, and emotional wisdom in one single Quantum Healing session, imagine what is possible for an adult who has a whole lifetime of experiences to draw upon. You – JUST THE WAY YOU ARE- can experience expansive states of awareness.
