Great Interviews, Great Opportunities

I love connecting with clients and chatting before we begin a session.

Why interview? The interview or pre talk before a hypnosis experience can help prepare us in a number of ways.

We can build rapport with our clients,
set them up for success with positive framing,
or offer visualizations (I share one I like below).
We can use this time to learn, share, and manage expectations.

In some sessions, my clients report that the interview was just as important, or even MORE important that what they learned in the hypnosis portion of the session.

Interview Length

Some modalities, like QHHT tend to feature longer, more intensive style interviews. Other modalities, like Quantum Connect, don’t have any interview at all! There isn’t ONE way that’s better, so assess these based on your own and your client’s needs.

In general, we might expect more extensive interviews to be more important/useful for people (clients and facilitator alike) who are less experienced with hypnosis or meditation work. As people gain experience we tend to voyage more easily. We start to hear what we need to hear, and recognize patters more quickly allowing our sessions to flow organically.

One benefit to a longer interview? It allows the Ego to be SEEN and HEARD. The Ego’s desire to explain tends to be satisfied. One drawback? Well- it’s not just exhausting to the ego, people- facilitators included can get tired. Check in and adjust interview length to you own, and your clients’ needs.

These questions and suggestions are in no way required, they’re merely options I’ve noticed helpful on occasion, shared to help fellow facilitators build confidence and get creative as you develop your own flow.

40+Questions to Ask Before a Quantum Healing Hyposis Session…

  • How did you learn about quantum healing?
  • How did you find ME?
  • What brings you to seek a quantum healing session?
  • How are you feeling about today’s session? (assure them it’s normal to feel nervous, that’s a common part of the process for many of us- even seasoned facilitators can have nerves!)
  • Do you have any questions, needs or special requests?
  • What’s going on in your life, at the moment? Any big changes happening for you?

Expectations

Expectations
  • During hypnosis, what do you imagine the experience might feel like?
  • What do you expect to notice in your body or mind during the session?
  • Is there anything you’re hoping to feel — or not feel — while we work?

The Body Mind and Soul

Body Mind and Soul
  • Are you experiencing any current issues or sensitivities?
  • How long has this reaction, realization or pattern been present?
  • When did it first begin?
  • On a scale of 1–10, how intense does it feel currently?
  • How intense can you make it? (point out that they can INTENSIFY the feeling highlights that the kind of control they have over symptom intensity)
  • When was the strongest expression of that reaction?
  • Has it shifted or changed over time? These can often be used during the session itself as a guide or sign, as in “Let your soul guide you to the first, the worst, or the most important expression of this feeling”
  • Do you have any birthmarks? (these often correspond to information and injuries from other lives)

Practical

Practical
  • Are you comfortable with your tech set up? Can you hear me/see me okay?
  • Do you have your area set up already/know how you’re going to sit or lay down for the session?
  • How open are you to sharing your session experience? Would you prefer to keep it completely private, or if there’s helpful information revealed, are you open to sharing, either openly or anonymously? You’ll get consent again later, but I sometimes like to set up this idea in advance.
