My client wants her Soul’s advice about marketing her services.
I’m thinking: What’s the FUN version of “marketing?”
SHOPPING!!
So, I ask her to envision a mall, and to fill the mall with all the smells, sounds, and characters one might imagine during a fun shopping adventure.
This is the first time I have intentionally used a mall setting, but I imagine all kinds of potential for this visualization.
What do you think? Comment with suggestions.
Before she is able to explore this mall she realizes, “There’s a sad clown following me around”.
Jimmy the Clown
Interesting. I ask about this clown’s personality, his gifts, and why he was here.
Initially she assumes this sad spirit is stuck; he needs help getting to the light. I also have a hunch. I’m feeling the potential for this clown to act as a guide.
“He’s showing me that he knows you, too” she confirms my hunch. This “sad clown” has a higher purpose. He’s helping both of us!
“What is he helping with?” I inquire.

“He’s showing me humor. How to be lighter.” He’d handed her some faded balloons. She intuitively filled the balloons with more color, more vibrance.
I wondered- could she transmit that energy, that color, and give those balloons to other shoppers? She can! As she spreads her vibrance, I encourage her to recognize the connections she’s making. I suggest by giving each shopper TWO balloons they can pass along and multiply this gift.
“What is his specialty, this clown,” (He said his name was Jimmy) “What is Jimmy particularly good at”? I ask.
“He knows how to connect with his audience. He can tell by looking in their eyes what they need. Oh, he’s tap dancing now!” We both saw the same thing, Jimmy teaching her and her daughter how to tap dance. How fun! He’s showing us all how to lighten up.

Now that we’ve met Jimmy, she can explore. I ask if she can find a mall guide, one of those “You Are Here” maps that shows all the stores and kiosks at the mall. I encourage her, “You’ll see one store on that guide that catches your attention. You’ll see a store in particular you want to visit.” I suggest that she might not know what it is, but she’ll be able to spot it on the map.
She finds something on the map and starts to walk in that direction through the mall.
The Goth Girl

While she’s exploring she sees a Hot Topic style store, and a sad goth girl. “She’s outside her body. She so disassociated that it’s hard for her to feel emotions.” her own voice is clinical as she examines the girl’s disconnection. “She reminds me of my daughter, ” her tone softens a bit.
Disassociation can be helpful during times of severe trauma, but it’s not usually the best place to live. It’s natural for my client to want to help. I have a quick vision. I don’t always pass along what I see to my clients, but often my hunches are helpful. I decide to pass along what I saw.
“I wonder, would she be able to use one of those balloons to practice with? That’s how disassociation feels sometimes, doesn’t it? Outside the body floating, kind of like a balloon? Maybe she can feel more empowered if she uses one of your balloons. She just needs a little practice shifting her SELF. She can do that by holding onto a balloon. Would that help her?”

“Yes! She can do that”… was the answer. Playing with the feeling, appearance, and connection to the balloon, she can practice as much as she needs to and feel safe while she’s starting to feel emotions. It’s okay to feel. They exchange gifts and say goodbye, but it looks like they’ll meet again.
My client keeps moving, making her way to the store she saw on the map. She approaches the storefront, glowing with soft blue colors. What store is calling her?
It’s HER storefront. Her offerings are on display.

Her Offerings & Those Who Accept
She smells lavender and sandalwood. She notices that the pastel colors in the front are inviting. These are what call her in, while she’s more curious about the deep purple colors in the back of her store.
I ask about these offerings. What is being highlighted?
She sees that her focus is divided into three different sections. Two are accessible to the public, while one is in the back, and is only offered to existing clients who are dedicated to their work. That section is deep purple, symbolizing the deep connection she needs with these clients since that work is centered in restoring their sense of sovereignty.
While we’re chatting, a potential client enters the store. I ask about her qualities: She’s an older woman; she’s ready to change, and she’s naturally magnetized to the colors and vibrations here.
“Do you want to hand her a balloon?” I ask. “What shape, or symbol does that balloon take? What exactly does this client need from you?”
“Oh. Well at first I thought it was going to be a heart. But I’m looking into her eyes, feeling it in my chest and it looks like a SUN. She needs Solar Plexus work. I can connect that way.” It was a different feeling than the dark purple energy needed for restorative energy work. This type of connection wasn’t draining.

She was shown how she is able to connect with her clients quite naturally, feel what they need, and guide each client to their understanding.
“You Never Listen” and the Hot Poker
We finished the session by asking her guides about her daughter’s ear issues. I kept getting an impression and hearing, “Hot Poker”. The phrase, “You aren’t listening/you never listen” repeated over and over. It felt as though she’d been someone’s “property”. I started crying, which typically means I’m connected, acting as a surrogate for healing or a conduit for information.
My client resonated with this saying, “I see it, a hot poker. I can take it out.” She did. “She’s being encouraged to listen to her SELF.” We reinforced her natural power and sovereignty, while understanding we can only do so much. She will encounter her own obstacles, successes and failures. Her role is to act as an example and to gently guide, but her daughter’s challenges are her own. She’s as qualified as anyone to handle these!
