You Aren’t Broken: You’re Human

The Gift Inside the Habit

You are not broken for being mentally noisy. You’re human.

Is a diamond broken for having facets? No way! That’s what makes it precious. It’s the same with humans. The same circuitry that drives our neurotic loops also fuels our weirdest inventions, our most creative desires, and even our compassion.

You’re not here to eliminate your mind.

You’re here to partner with it.

When my mind spins, I chant.
I let the noise become rhythm, the rhythm become intention.
Each repetition replaces the static with something more valuable—direct action.
I chant a mantra- Nam Myoho Renge Kyo – not to drown out the noise, but to tune it into something that creates value.

 Need suggestions? Try these:

  • If you scroll when you’re overwhelmed, scroll through art, stories of resilience, or spiritual memes that uplift you rather than drain you.
  • If you reach for sugar or dopamine, try singing, dancing, or chanting—give your brain a rhythm on which it can rely, not a “spike” that leaves the body exhausted.
  • If you talk to yourself constantly, ask to hear the inner voice that’s a coach, a cheerleader, a guide not a judge. (I can help you connect; message me to plan a session).
  • If you don’t like stillness, move.  Walk through spaces intentionally.  Feel yourself moving energy from one location to another. Even using Google Maps can help people move stuck energy.

Compulsions can become clues.
Your patterns and your prayers can become one energy.
Even your cravings can lead you back to your inner kindness.

And when you catch yourself being neurotic? Realize that’s good.
Because now you can steer your attention somewhere beautiful. 💠
